About me
I am a journalism student at the University of Tennessee with an expected graduation date of May 2023. I grew up just down the road from UT and attended Bearden High School. I got my start in journalism in high school writing for my school’s newspaper and went on to be editor-in-chief for two years. I began writing for the Daily Beacon in 2020 and I began a position as Assistant Sports Editor in 2022. Outside of writing, some of my hobbies include cooking, cycling and creative writing.
Work
During my time in college, I have covered softball, soccer, women’s basketball and baseball, with a few other sports mixed in. I have covered SEC Tournaments, regional tournaments and March Madness. Along with sports, I have also done features on local businesses, news and have written personal essays. All of my work is attached here.
